Ballet & Jazz Shoe Fitting
Here is a guide for you to determine the correct size before ordering ballet or jazz shoes for your child.
- Stand your child on a piece of paper and mark the back of the heel and the end of the longest toe.
- Measure the distance between toe and heel in centimetres. You need to be as accurate as possible.
- Add 1cm for room. For full sole jazz shoes add 1.5cm as this is a rigid narrower fitting shoe.
- Choose the shoe that is the closest to the foot length, but always select a larger rather than smaller shoe.
- If unsure, send us the foot measurement and we will find the size for you.
When trying your ballet shoes for the first time please refrain from pulling or tightening the front elastics, or dirtying the soles of the shoes, as we are unable to refund or exchange the shoes once you have done this.

Dance Leotard Size
Our dance leotards are a fabulous cotton leotard. Our child sizes come both lined and unlined, with the lined being a smaller fit than our unlined leotard range due to less stretch. Our ballet and jazz packs include the dance leotard. If your child is larger than the average age range please select the larger size up.
Small Child/Todder : 12-23 months (this size is very small fitting)
Medium Child : 2-3 Years
Large Child : 4-5 Years

Tween : 8-9 Years

Premium Leotard Size
Measurement of leotards is taken unstretched & laid out flat. Length is from the lowest point of the neckline to bottom of crotch, and waist is the cross measurement. Measurements are based on the tank style of leotard.
Toddler : 12-24 Months waist 19cm / length 30cm
Small Child : 2-3 Years waist 20cm / length 34cm
Medium Child : 4-5 Years waist 22.5cm / length 38cm
Large Child : 6-8 Years waist 24cm / length 42cm
